A healthy lifestyle is about loving yourself and your body. It’s not about punishment, but reward.

If you think of eating healthy and exercising as chores, you’ll keep making up excuses in order to avoid doing it.

But if you change your mindset, you’ll see that eating healthy and working out are two of the ways you can take care of your body, and love yourself.

When you grab an apple or do a set of squats, don’t do it to punish yourself for your indulgences. Instead, do it to show love and respect for your body. There’s a huge difference!

    1. I love posting motivational quotes too. It’s so important to have the right health/fitness motivation, because trying to look like an Instagram fitness model isn’t healthy. Let’s everyone choose healthy over skinny! Thanks for coming by, Karen!

  1. Very inspiring quotes Fabi Blogger. My quote is “Self-care is a privilege only you can grant yourself.” It comes from Colors of Joy: A Woman’s Guide for Self-Discovery. Balance, and Bliss, the interactive self-care journal I wrote and published. Live Happy and Healthy! Nancy Andres

  2. “Exercise is a great leveler. It doesn’t matter how rich you are, you can’t just buy your way into a great body. You have to do the work. I find that comforting. It’s one of the few things in life where we’re all on a level playing field.”

  3. Excellent quotes. I had a teen today who asked me if she “looked fat.” I wanted to cry. I told her beauty comes from the inside, and she was beautiful, but she was carrying more weight than was good for her heart and skeleton. Our focus is 180 degrees off where it should be. Our focus on skinniness is hurting our children.
    Thanks for the quotes.

    1. Oh yes, we’re all much too focused on being thin.. Even though carrying extra weight can be damaging, being skinny doesn’t mean one is healthy. In fact, it can mean exactly the opposite. I hope I’ll be able to teach my little girl to love herself as she is.
